1) By birth/ Foundation year of Ashiyana...formally it was in the name of an Association... 

 1995-2015 
“Ashiyana Association of the Muslim Staff and Students of University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India”. 

2) By rebirth/ rejuvenation year of Ashiyana...formally it was in the name of a Society... 

 2016-2019(until 22nd February) 
“Ashiyana Educational Development Society of Karnataka, Bengaluru”. 

3) By registration of Ashiyana...officially named as a Trust now... 

 From February 23, 2019 to date. 
“Ashiyana Educational and Charitable Trust, Bengaluru”. 

Google search will not help you to answer the questions posed above as there is NO official website available for our Ashiyana at all.

ASHIYANA IS IN ITS 28TH YEAR OF ITS SERVICE (as of 2023) TO OUR STUDENTS COMMUNITY EMBEDDED UNDER ITS UMBRELLA

DR. ABDUL KHALAK, A PhD holder in Agriculture from UAS, Bengaluru. Former Professor, Department of Agronomy, UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru. Also served as a Senior Advisor(Agric. Devt), Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries, Govt. of the State of Kuwait. Served as an Advisor on the Research Board Advisors of The American Biographical Institute (ABI), Inc., USA during January, 1999 to December, 1999. Currently serving as a Member of two scientific organization: Institution of Agricultural Technologists(IAT), Bengaluru.

 

DR. CHAMAN FARZANA, A PhD holder in Food Science & Technology has worked as a Teaching Professional/Professor at Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru which is a Colleges & Universities Company. She had also worked in the Dept of Food and Nutrition, UAS, Bangalore for quite a few years. She is a State Secretary of KPMCC and also Secretary of All India Mahila Congress, Kerala in Charge, Educationist and Social Worker, Bengaluru, India joined in November 2017.

 

MR. SYED ABDUL SAMAD did his MSc(Agri) in Agric Econ from UAS, Bengaluru. Retired as Chief Manager of Canara Bank, Bengaluru.

 

MR. SYED JAFFER MOHIDEEN HARUN Completed BSc(Agri) in 2004 from UAS, Bengaluru. Currently working as an Agriculturist, Doddamaralawadi, Kanakapura Tq, Ramanagaram Dist. & he is also a Founder Trustee of another Al Ansaar Trust, Bengaluru.

 

MR. S. HABIB BASHA completed his Graduation and Post-Graduation (GPB) from UAS, Bengaluru.  Presently working with Bayer Bio-Science Pvt Ltd as Cotton Breeder and based at Chikkaballapur.

Our Directors

Ashiyana Educational & Charitable Trust (“the Trust”) has been set up with a view to strengthen the backbone of the Agriculture and Allied Science Sector by supporting the youth of the society irrespective of caste, creed and religion who carry fire in their bellies to contribute in nation building to take-up graduation courses under various streams of agriculture, horticulture, sericulture, forestry, agril. marketing & cooperation, veterinary, animal husbandry & fisheries sciences, dairy technology, agricultural engineering, food technology, community/home science, etc.

The above vision would be achieved by running sponsorship programmes to support the under-graduates to take-up graduation and post-graduation courses in the agriculture and allied science sectors.  The sponsorship includes assistance towards semester fees, hostel mess bills, maintenance, books/stationery, thesis allowance, medical charges on emergency basis, international conference travel allowance, etc. Moreover, supporting the humble families/parents of beneficiary students during hardship situations like lockdown period due to Coronavirus pandemic plays an important role in the society.

Further, the activities of Ashiyana Trust are also related to providing drinking water facilities, books and stationery to government schools; flood relief works in certain villages of North Karnataka, etc.

The Trust has been established by the alumni of Government Universities of Agriculture & Allied Sciences with their headquarters in the State of Karnataka. The Trust operates through its network of members in the following universities:

i.           University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru.

ii.    Karnataka Veterinary, Animal Husbandry & Fisheries Sciences University, Bidar.

iii.  University of Agricultural & Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga.

iv.          University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot.

v.            University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad.

vi.          University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur.

Area in which the Trust operates

The Trust focuses on the sponsorship programmes for meritorious under-graduates and post-graduates who are desirous of graduating and post-graduating  in the field of agriculture and allied sciences, however, are unable to pursue their dreams due to financial constraints.

The Trust has so for sponsored the students in the following streams:

i.        Agricultural Sciences(Agriculture, Sericulture, Forestry, Agril. Marketing & Cooperation)

ii.            Veterinary, Animal Husbandry & Fisheries Sciences (including Dairy Technology)

iii.                Horticultural Sciences

iv.                Agricultural Engineering

v.                 Food Technology and Community/Home Sciences
